Description
A delicious shrimp and orzo dish with fresh herbs and lemon.
Ingredients

- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 4 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
- ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil salted water in a large pot; cook orzo according to package directions until al dente.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Sauté garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
- Add shrimp; cook until pink and opaque (3-4 minutes).
- Stir in fresh herbs and lemon juice.
- Drain orzo (reserve some pasta water) and combine with the shrimp mixture; toss gently.
- Adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and reserved pasta water if needed.
- Serve warm, garnished with extra herbs.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can use garlic butter instead of plain butter.
- This dish can be served warm or at room temperature.
