Description

This rich and decadent chocolate flourless cake made with dark chocolate is perfect for chocolate enthusiasts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 oz dark chocolate (70% cocoa), chopped
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch round cake pan and line it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl over simmering water until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy (about 5 minutes).
  4. Gently fold the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture.
  5. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then carefully fold it into the chocolate mixture until combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until set but slightly jiggly in the center.
  7. Allow to cool completely before refrigerating for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Notes
