Description

Delicious and gooey mini chocolate chip cookie bars made with sweetened condensed milk.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups mini chocolate chips, divided
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter and brown sugar until light and creamy. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  3. Add the flour and salt to the bowl, stirring until just combined. Gradually blend in the milk to form a smooth dough.
  4. Mix in the powdered sugar followed by 1 cup of mini chocolate chips.
  5. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine sweetened condensed milk and remaining 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips. Stir constantly until chips are melted and mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and let cool briefly.
  6. Fold the chocolate mixture into the dough until thoroughly combined. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
  7. Chill for at least 2 hours until set before cutting into pieces.
