A delicious and creamy Cajun chicken orzo pasta dish that’s perfect for any weeknight dinner.

- 1 pound Cajun seasoned chicken breast
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups orzo pasta
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Cook the Cajun seasoned chicken breast until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove the chicken and set aside.
- Add the orzo pasta to the same pot and stir for about 1 minute to toast.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle boil.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and stir frequently until the orzo is cooked through, about 10-12 minutes.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
- Add the chicken to the pot, mix well, and season with salt and pepper.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- This dish can also be made with shrimp or sausage for a different flavor.
- Feel free to adjust the spice level by using more or less Cajun seasoning.
