Ingredients

- 2 cups peeled garlic cloves
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions
- In a pot, combine vinegar, water, sugar, and salt over medium heat. Stir until dissolved.
- Add garlic cloves and spices to the pot and bring to a simmer.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Transfer garlic and liquid to a sterilized jar.
- Seal and refrigerate for at least 1 week before using.
