Description

A delightful and easy dessert combining lemon cake and blueberry flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (15 oz) lemon cake mix
  • 1 can (21 oz) blueberry pie filling
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the blueberry pie filling evenly across the bottom of the dish. Make sure it reaches every corner.
  3. In a medium bowl, stir together the softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, milk, and lemon zest until smooth. Drop spoonfuls of this mixture over the blueberry layer and gently spread it out.
  4. Sprinkle the dry lemon cake mix evenly over the top. Do not stir.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix, covering as much surface area as possible.
  6. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
  7. Let it cool for at least 20 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • The layers will settle slightly, making it easier to scoop.
