Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and red food coloring.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared dish and bake for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely before frosting with cream cheese frosting made by mixing softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, butter, and vanilla until smooth.
