Ingredients

  • 8 oz fresh cremini or portobello mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or thyme, chopped
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Clean and slice the mushrooms; mince the garlic.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tbsp butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add sliced mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and heavy cream, stirring well to combine.
  5. Season with soy sauce and herbs; simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Stir in the remaining 2 tbsp of butter before serving hot over steak.
